There are so many hotels competing for you to chose to book with them. How do you decide which is the right hotel for you? Do you have a fail safe formula or are you like SK and book on the fly on which one looks the best in the pics and possibly has a good deal as well?
What is your top decision maker (or breaker) when choosing a hotel to stay at? Is it the star rating? Is the facilities? Is it the location? Is it the reviews? Is it the accessibility to attractions and transport? Is it that it is family friendly? Is it that is wheelchair accessible? Is it solely based on budget?
It is interesting the different formulas for our foundation of requirements when it comes to booking a hotel. We generally have thought it would be safe to book a 4 or 5 star (in Australia) and that would guarantee a good solid enjoyable experience. Well, we have been burnt a few times which has led us to share more with you our leanings as we go.
SK is about to embark on a trip overseas to do just that…..look at the differing types, standards, costs, etc of hotels in the name of research. All to assist our viewers in making better and more informed decisions when they embark on travel with their families (and hopefully save you the, let’s call them “moments” we have had along the way).
We know all too well the challenges and constraints that come into the factors when choosing a hotel. It is especially hard if you are booking that one family holiday for the year and want to have a nice hotel to contribute to the overall holiday experience and not by chance accidentally book a hovel with a whole host of nightmares. That is not what you want to be the main memory of a holiday. Although, it is just as tricky if you are a more frequent traveller as the need and want to have a decent place to enjoy the vacation is the same.
Come with us as we review some hotels we have stayed in, as we travel and explore new places and countries and go through the trials and triumphs of the hotel booking experience and we share it, worts and all for you.
