Kingscliff is a small town with a strong beachy vibe. With its main street lined with a variety of shop fronts and cafes, pristine waters, exotic fish and a lot of adventure and fun.
We arrived in the late afternoon, and stayed at the Kingscliff Caravan Park. A long stroll along the waterfront occupied the rest of our day. Stopping at parks and taking photos.
For dinner, we ventured out into the festive night, onto the main street. We searched for a parking spot (very difficult) and walked around for the place of our desire. We ended up at the newly renovated Kingscliff Hotel. It brought the outside in, with modern touches. We ordered pizza, and then in the wait for our food, I went to the indoor play area. It was packed with children of all ages but all the same entertaining. Eventually, we got our dinner, pizza. It had generously spread topping and at good sizes. We finished up and headed back to the caravan park.
An early rise resulted in a full day of adventure. Towards 7:30am, we travelled to the Cudgen Creek. Snorkeling, paddle boarding, swimming and relaxing had surrounded us. We joined in enthusiastically. After our aquatic fun, we quickly got changed and headed into the town centre. We had lunch at the quiet Red Hot Thai Café. It had Thai inspired décor, and mouthwatering food and a lot of red. We waited an extremely long time, about 35minutes for our lunch. Really disappointing! For the rest of the day included exploring around the region and stopping at the local parks.
My stay was interesting, exciting and downright fun. I would give Kingscliff 4 out of 5 overall.
