Squawk is a new game by Crown and Andrews.
If you like noisy, interactive games then this game is for you. SK had the opportunity to play this game as part of a review.
The game itself will need an adult to help with the set up as it is quite a bit complicated.
Essentially the game is the person with the most ‘token’ chicks wins the game.
The youngest player rolls the dice and starts the game. To get a token you have to press the chicken’s stomach based on the number of times on the dice that you rolled as to the number of times you press the stomach. Pressing/poking the stomach makes the chicken slowly rise, and a egg pops out randomly. Depending on which side the egg cracks depends on the outcome of either a chicken token (lands chick side up) or nothing at all if you land on the egg side (you win nothing this turn). The egg token is placed and the chicken and henhouse is reset for the next player.
This process is repeated until all the token eggs are gone from the hen house and the person with the most chick ‘tokens’ wins.
When the chicken ‘flips out’ …she is bursting out of the hen house she SQUAWKS.
This is quite a noisy game and one that is very hands on.

This game was great fun to review although it isn’t about to be a staple game in our house….maybe it is more suited for you then us.
