Oh my! Taberna Patricii et Pelebi would have to be the favourite restaurant in Italy.
You know the place that just has the feel but matches it with the food.
We actually stumbled upon this when we were in Rome. Our accommodation was right across from it so we thought “what the heck, let’s try it”.
We were in love. So much so that while we only had 4 days in Rome at the end of our month in Italy that we went back 2 more times from the initial. And both other times did not disappoint either.
I think for us the atmosphere was stunning. It was like nothing we had seen or experienced before in a restaurant.
The staff were so friendly and engaging. They would have a chat rather than just the take your order and robotic type staff.
And OMG! The food was simply divine. We thought in our travels around Italy we had had some amazing dishes but clearly we had saved the best for last.
It would have to be THE BEST lasagna we had the entire trip. Having said it is important to note that there was not a dish that we ordered that we were even remotely disappointing with. It was all so flavoursome and delicious.
And did we happen to mention it is just a hop, skip and a jump from Trevi Fountain?!
OK, so I bet you are wanting to know the details like how much, where and so on.
