Have you been taken over by the Rainbow Loom craze too?

We were provided a Rainbow Loom kit with the purpose of doing a review but it has now become a craze in our house.

The girls are constantly busy making new ones, why the other day we were away on holidays and they made one for the girl down the hall…they didn’t know her just thought she might like one (it was a perfect excuse to make another one). Yep, they came on holidays with us along with the special teddy, the tablets, books and the other craft/drawing things…. all their favourite things. It has been added to that list and has bumped stickers off the list at the moment!

We had the Rainbow Loom starter kit which contains a Rainbow Loom, Mini Rainbow Loom, Rainbow Loom Instruction Manual, hook tool, bag of c-clips and 600 assorted colour latex-free rubber bands.

To be honest we did have a little trouble making the bigger ones to start with, but the mini loom is super easy and seems to be the bigger hit for the girls. They can whip one up so quickly.

With 600+ rubber bands provided in the box there are so many bracelets that can be made with so many variations on colour, size and so on….. they are really only limited by their imagination. There is such a variety of colours provided I’m sure it’s possible to make a colour combination for everyone.

You are left scratching your head wondering what the heck I’m talking about and have no idea what all the talk (& fuss) is about? Let me tell you and get you up to date.

Simply Rainbow Loom is a rubber band bracelet making kit. The box (or kit as they call it) comes complete with everything you need to make bracelets (or rings). They state you can make up to 24 bracelets ….we are at the high teens and still have many more rubber bands left so will definitely hit the 24 mark with possibly more.

So are they value for money?

We would have to say a resounding YES. They keep them entertained and it is something that they can keep coming back to over and over again.

The Rainbow Loom starter kit is under $30 and additional products are very reasonably priced and can be bought individually and can be purchased in specific colours, etc.
