Tantrums, talking back, swearing, defiance, bullying, bargaining, manners are all part of a child’s behaviour during childhood as they navigate their world and develop.

All children are different. There is no single answer, no one size fits all to any of the difficulties or problems you may face. There is always a reasons behind a child’s behaviour, sometimes it is more complex. Behaviour that interferes with the child being able to engage in life experiences can be a challenge and can be hard to manage.

Knowing positive strategies to work on a behaviour is invaluable to achieving a positive outcome. General management includes reinforcing positive behaviour, having a consistent approach, setting limits and clear consequences for misbehaviour.
