Babies learn from their experiences, they learn from everything that they do in their day, from every activity that they do.
All things that are in their day such as bathing, having their nappy changed, feeding or just talking to them as you go about your day help them to learn about their world and is in effect play for them at this age.
Being able to practice their newly acquired skills or practice skills to conquer is how a baby learns but is play to them too.
Exploring their world, finding out about their world and their surroundings; and all the people in it is their definition of play.
