This is the Haliday Bay Resort signage!
This little piece of paradise I keep raving about just 50 kms north of Mackay is a funny place I must say. It is a little odd as it comes under the Mackay council and sometimes it looks like they care and other times it looks like a forgotten part of the council’s catalogue.
They have made an effort in some sections of the area and then other sections it is let down by the lack of repair or maintenance. The government economic stimulus has made it out to here but in some what I would call funny decisions. There is a great park at Seaforth that is an example of a good economic stimulus, yet there is another example that leaves you scratching your head as there is what I will kindly call a park in Haliday Bay that is also the recipient of the economic stimulus but it has 2 swings and 2 bouncy seat things and the park is a little out of the way.
