They generally can:

• Hands are loosely open.
• Enjoys company and smiles.
• Shows excitement at things like the main caregiver about to feed them.
• Turns towards the sudden startling sound but is still disturbed by it.
• Watches own hands.
• Lift head and chest if on belly.
• Begin to roll from side to side.
• When held in a sitting position will have a straight back and hold head up for short period.
• When pulled to sitting head is only lagging slightly.
• Reaches for dangling objects and is able to grasp objects.
• Follows objects from side to side in front of them.
