Every year I buy the bog standard diary…you know the sort…plain and practical with no real soul. There is nothing wrong with this sort of diary and it has been my staple diary purchase for many years but this year I thought I would have a little something different…a little something special.
I was asked to review the Twigseeds 2016 diary.
And it has made quite an impact. Why you ask? Ohh…there are quite a few reasons why I am taken with this new, and what I thought was an adventurous change.
First because it is by an Australian artist Kate Knapp and published by an Australian publisher; then there is the more nautical theme (I do love myself a little nautical theme!); it was reasonably priced ($24.95): is published on eco-friendly paper; it is a hard cover diary; it fits perfectly into my handbag; and it has a lovely welcoming feeling that the bog standard diaries don’t have in that it has some nice inspirational quotations such as “live by the currents, plan by the tides, follow the sun” or “ I am the master of my own fate, I am the captain of my soul (William Ernest Henley)”; each page is differently bordered which is a nice refreshing touch and it has the essential info like the important dates, a ribbon page marker and so on.
I actually think I will look into the calendar too before the year barrels on too much more… or just in case you are looking into buying a diary yourself you can purchase it online at www.affirmations.com.au
I was gifted this diary as part of a review. This has not influenced my opinion of the book. I do consider the diary a fresh change from other personal diaries..
