Nanny Award Course
A nanny award or nanny certificate is greatly encouraged if you are considering continuing to pursue a career in nannying or child care. We would also recommend considering completing a higher certificate course.
A Nanny course generally gives you the base knowledge and introduction information on child topics such as child development, behaviour, etc. Most courses will have a practicum involved to gauge your care. A nanny course is generally are short courses of up to 12 weeks.
While they may be through an accredited training institution it is still wise to establish if they are recognised. For example, if you are completing it to travel overseas be aware that some agencies may not accept it as a qualification and may require a higher certificate/qualification.
